On the rallies page on the website there is a provisional list of the 2027 rallies that have been confirmed by their marshals. Please Note: The details of each rally are subject to change. This list provided by the Rally Sec is purely to give you an idea on whats on next year.

We have been contacted by other Centres to let us know of their Overseas Rallies that they will be running next year which you may be of interest to you.

I have limited information but from Monday, 20^th July 26 when they go live, you will be able to check out the full details on their websites.

This year the theme is rum. that means if you’d like to take part in the fancy dress, pirates and Caribbean theme would be suitable. As usual, we will be running a raffle for the Hunstanton RNLI. If you’d like to make a donation it would be appreciated. (plenty of time to buy something nice) please tell everyone you know is going

Dear Members

I wanted to update everyone about the Defibrillators, Bonus Ball and Sale of Books.

Over the last few weeks, the Committee have been discussing the future of the two defibrillators that the Centre rent. Two matters were considered, one was due to the cost and the second, that members have said they were not sure if they would be prepared to use them in an emergency.

However, it was unanimously agreed by the Committee that we do continue to keep both defibrillators available for the Centre rallies to assist in an emergency. 

To this end, the Committee has proposed that the monies raised from the Bonus Ball and Sale of Books be ring fenced to help pay towards the defibrillators, thereby giving new purpose to both.  

Marshals – please note that as there are now two lines in the Lottery, please use the first line for the Bonus Ball.

For all those attending the Wilmcote rally, you can arrive from 12 noon on Thursday 25th June if you prefer.

The Committee have been asked by the Anglia Division to put a Hibernation Plan in place in case the Centre is not able to form a Committee at any time, with the very bare minimum being the Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary plus two committee members.

This we have done, but to start the process, we wanted to see if we can get Members interested in the Treasurer and Secretary positions. We, therefore, thought that perhaps members might like to shadow the positions and join a meeting so that they have some understanding what the position would entail.

Members would be made very welcome and please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of the Committee if you would be interested now or in the future.

In the meantime, we will be speaking to other Centres to see what position they are in and their plans, in case we are able to learn or help.

Over the last few weeks, I have seen so many people having such fun and enjoy being together, it makes me think our Centre is very special indeed.
